Terms of Use

The rules of membership and of using the members' area.

Draft pending review. This text was prepared by BRACCA's technical team so that the platform stops asking people to accept a document that does not exist. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and has not been approved by the Board. Items in [square brackets] still need BRACCA's information.

These terms govern the relationship between you and the Brazilian College Counseling Association (BRACCA) when you apply for membership, keep a membership, or use the members' area at this website.

Who can be a member

BRACCA membership is individual. Membership is held by people, not by schools, universities or companies — an institution may pay for its professionals' memberships, but the members are always the named individuals. Each category has its own eligibility criteria, published on the membership page, and you must meet the criteria of the category you apply for.

Applying

Applications are reviewed by BRACCA, normally within five business days. Approval is at the association's discretion and may be refused when the eligibility criteria are not met or when the information provided cannot be verified. You pay nothing at the time of application; if approved, you receive a payment link for the annual fee.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you declare. If your institution, position or category changes, update your profile — membership categories are re-verified at each renewal.

Fees and renewal

Membership runs in annual cycles. The fee for each category is published on the membership page and may be revised by the Board; a revision does not affect a cycle already paid for. Payments are handled by Asaas and may be made by Pix or credit card.

Before your renewal date you receive a renewal charge by email. If it is not paid by the due date, your membership enters a grace period of [15] days, during which access continues. After the grace period without payment, the membership is suspended and access to the members' area is blocked. Paying reactivates it.

Refunds

[BRACCA to define.] Suggested basis: the annual fee is refundable in full within seven days of payment, under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code for distance purchases, and is not refundable afterwards, since the benefits are available from activation. Where the Board revises a fee downwards, members who paid the previous amount are credited or refunded the difference.

Using the members' area

Your login is personal. Do not share your password or your access to the members' library. Material published in the library — recordings, guides, templates and association documents — is for your own professional use as a member. You may not republish it, sell it, or share it outside the association without written permission.

The member directory exists so members can find and reach each other professionally. Using it to send unsolicited commercial offers to other members is a breach of these terms.

Conduct

Membership is conditional on the Code of Ethics. Conduct that breaches it may lead to suspension or termination of membership, following the process the Board establishes.

Ending a membership

You may cancel at any time by writing to info@bracca.org.br; the membership remains active until the end of the cycle already paid. BRACCA may terminate a membership for breach of these terms or the Code of Ethics, or when the eligibility criteria stop being met, with prior notice and an opportunity to respond.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the platform available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or by circumstances beyond our control. BRACCA is not responsible for decisions members take in their own professional practice, nor for the outcome of any student application. Guidance and material published by the association are for professional development, not a guarantee of results.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes that affect members' rights or obligations are announced by email at least [30] days before taking effect. This version is dated [data].

Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law, with jurisdiction in [comarca].
